Story! so my friend let me borrow his “new” canon t90…well about a year pasts and he comes for it and i still had the 1st roll of film in it. it only needed like 5 more frames left. idk why i just didnt use them. well this semester back to school kicked my ass so thats a good reason. but i rewinded the film. put it on my elan 7E and shot some pics today. so 1 already expired roll with a year span of photos. crazy to think. but here is Oliver with an air on my ramp. taken with the elan 7E and 16-35L @16mm and some expired kodak supra 100 taken may 10, 2013

so i went to develop some film earlier, i had my camera with me because i wasnt about to leave that baby in the car for someone to steal it. this guy, about 40yrs old, comes up to me and askes what lens i have on my camera (16-35L). so he says he also take photos and askes if he can see my work, since i have a film camera on me, he pulls up my site and is kinda impressed. he has a 70-200L and a 7d. psh, i tell him that he has the lens ” i want.”
anyway, he says he would like to join me on a shoot to see how i do what i do. i tell him that i assist another photographer as much as i can.
its crazy, i really dont think im all that good compared to others. i think its how they show themselves. some really crappy photogs that i know of…. they think so highly of themselves, like they know everything and have the most amazing photos. i know they suck and dont even try anymore, they are content with just making a quick buck. yeah, the money is good when its there but its not all i want. i want to take a photo someone will one day hang on their wall. thats really what i aim for. im going to call the guy and take him with me. he seems like he knows what hes talking about, just has never taken classes or studied it as much as he wants to. the passion is there. he just needs a little push in the right direction.
photography is fun, i love taking pictures, i also hate it when people expect me to have my camera with me at all times. its like they say “come to my party (with your camera)”. i actually get tired of having it around me all day, yes, it gets heavy. i havent shot much for myself the past few weeks. i blame it on school, i blame it on working too much, i blame it on being a perfectionist and not ever being perfect.
theres a few things i wanna shot. FILM most of all. the last roll i shot actually came out. i guess i had a few bad rolls and was discouraged for a while because nothing came out. yeah, expired film has downfalls. lol.
but i love the film look! im shooting a wedding in ONLY FILM in 2 weeks. im really excited about that one! no pay but i told them id do it for free.
i also want to shoot more people. ive been slacking bad! again, on film! im gonna ask my neighbors who are always sitting outside if i can take their photo. super excited about that one! i really am!
another is i wanna do a bmx edit of myself. ive been riding a bit more…ok a lot more! got a new frame and parts. trying to work on my beach bod, and get better at bmx at the same time.
